Our Story
Our vision for learning is to foster independent and adaptable critical thinkers who are equipped with essential knowledge, skills, and values. We strive to empower students to become active and responsible global citizens who can confidently navigate through uncertain situations and effectively contribute to society. By providing students with a wide range of learning experiences, including digital literacy, we help them become resourceful and technologically competent individuals. We provide an inclusive, engaging, and challenging learning environment that prepares students for a successful future, allowing them to make a positive difference in the world by being confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.
Inspire
Technology is used to supplement traditional teaching methods and makes the learning more interactive, which motivates our students and inspires their curiosity. Recognizing and celebrating student learning and achievements help our students feel valued and motivated to continue their learning journey. Hands-on learning activities also inspire a love of learning for our students by keeping them engaged. Comfortable and welcoming spaces for students impact their attitudes and help to make them feel more relaxed and willing to learn. Collaborative learning encourages our students to work in groups and interact with each other. This helps develop their sense of community.
Imagine
We provide opportunities for our students to collaborate and work with peers, so they can learn and share perspectives. Offering a range of learning experiences that cater to different interests and abilities, encourages students to explore their passions through projects and inquiry-based learning. Student reflection allows the teachers the opportunity to see how their students have grown and what new skills or knowledge they have acquired. By providing these opportunities for students, we can create an environment where students feel in control of their learning journey, supported by their teachers, and encouraged to take risks to pursue their ambitions.
Impact
We create an online presence for our school to showcase the achievements and events that we have each school year with a larger audience. The stories, pictures, and videos that we share promote our school’s successes with a broader audience. We are able to share online with our school facebook page, district facebook page, Twitter, and an online news publication that partners with our district. Outside of our district we share our school’s achievements and innovations firsthand by sharing our regional and state level conferences, the school board association and through publications that are sent out by our state department of public instruction.
